About

Just a little About me!

I am a professionally trained Blue Badge Scottish Tourist Guide and I am a member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.
Hello and welcome to my website!
I arrived in Scotland 30 years ago to visit a friend and I never left!
I have seen Scotland through the eyes of a visitor and now of someone who lives here permanently.

Having travelled extensively around the world it is Scotland which still manages to excite me with its spectacular scenery, people, history and culture.

As well as being a qualified 'Whisky Ambassador,' I am also a member of Historic Environment Scotland, Edinburgh World Heritage and Archaeology Scotland.

I would like to share my love of Scotland with you and take you on a journey either for a couple of hours, a day or two, or an extended tour  where you can experience world famous visitor attractions, or the off the beaten track hidden gems.
What is a Blue Badge Guide?

A Blue Badge Guide is a guide who is qualified to undertake tours all over Scotland and who brings with them a vast amount of knowledge, but also has expertise on how to deliver this in a safe way, but which is also enjoyable and informative for our guests.

Why use a professional guide?

By hiring a Blue Badge guide and member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, you can be assured that your guide:
  • has undertaken rigorous training that is widely regarded as one of the best in its field
  • has reached high professional standards of both knowledge and guiding abilities
  • is qualified to guide throughout Scotland
  • carries public liability insurance cover
