The area of Fife is just over an hour from Edinburgh and there is so much to see and do!
Take a pilgrimage to the town of St. Andrews - the home of Golf and where golf has been played since the early 1400's.
Pilgrims have also been going to St. Andrews Cathedral for hundreds of years to pay homage to St. Andrew (the patron saint of Scotland).
The town is also worth wandering around with its excellent shopping and eating opportunities.
Close to St Andrews is the ancient Palace of Falkland - which is often a required stop for the fans of the TV series Outlander and was once a favourite of Mary Queen of Scots.
Also, the pretty coastal villages of Elie, Crail, Pittenweem and St Monans are not to be missed and if time and hunger allows stop here for award winning fish and chips!
Whisky lovers can also satisfy their thirsts at Lindores or Kingsbarns distilleries.
