Once known as the Second City of Empire, Glasgow was an industrial powerhouse during the industrial revolution of the late 1700’s – 1800’s. At one time it built more steel-hulled ships than the rest of the world put together.
Today it is an exciting cosmopolitan city with visitor attractions such as the medieval Glasgow Cathedral, stunning Victorian architecture, wonderful museums such as Kelvingrove, Hunterian Museum and The Transport Museum.
Glasgow is also a UNESCO City of Music and has a vibrant music scene that covers all tastes. In addition there are excellent restaurants and bars where you can begin to get to know the city.
