East Lothian Day Tour

EAST LOTHIAN TOURS

East Lothian has got lots to offer and only 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh.

It has stunning beaches; awarding winning food and drink including Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery; North Berwick Gin; and Lucas Ice-Cream! Not to mention the wonderful array of fine restaurants.

It has played a leading role throughout Scotland’s long history, being the home of Kings; the birthplace of John Knox - the great Protestant reformer of the 1500’s; John Knox Witherspoon – Rector of Princeton University in the 1700’s and signatory to the American Declaration of Independence; and another John! - This time John Muir – regarded as the founding father of the American national parks.

The county also has some ancient castles to explore such as: Dirleton, Tantallon and Hailes Castles.

It also has a long aviation history and is the home of the National Museum of Flight where you can climb aboard Concorde!

We have the wonderful Lammermuir Hills to the west and to our east the North Sea where you can find stunning sandy beaches as well as the picturesque harbour town of North Berwick.
